Don and I hung out this morning to start my birthday off right. I think that was my first bday gift… from the editor, himself. Awesome.

Driving all over this week getting my license/plates/tags/emissions all taken care of. It has been quite a trial. Not to mention a dent in my wallet. (which, lets be honest…it’s quite full of financial dents)
The final step (putting on my license plate) is still yet to be completed, due to the fact that I cannot get the rusted, stripped screw out… resulting in a license plate, hanging half-way on by one screw. Mind you, it’s in there pretty tight. (That’s what she said) However, that’s not stopping polite people from honking, following me into parking lots, flagging me down at stop signs and even leaving notes on my car to inform me that my license plate is hanging on for dear life.

This weekend was a quick and exhausting one. I stayed up too late Thursday night, only to get up too early on Friday morning and head up to the Cincinnati area to meet with the Kollar family. They had asked me a few months back to come up and visit them to take some family photos. It was a short trip but I was definitely tired by Sunday. They are such great people though. They paid for everything from food/drinks to going to the movies. It was even fun going to the park they chose to do the shoot at and take photos for a good 3 hours or so. I am pleased with how most of the photos turned out as well. But I have a lot to go through. Luckily, not much editing.

The album has finally arrived. After what seemed like ages since Vedera was signed to Epic Records, Stages has been released. All three songs from the Stages EP are on the album, as well as every song that was put on their myspace at some point in time. So even though it is a 13 track album (on iTunes download) I already knew 7 of the songs. Even still, the album is more than worth your money. Especially for those of you who haven’t heard much about the band. I’m still waiting for them to blow up in the next few months. It’s almost inevitable.
Now, to the same tune as the word stages, I think another one is starting with me: Or at least I hope so. My clothing line (Young Whale) has officially started. I received the shirts yesterday and have since taken the the online store photos and set up the store to be able to order from. So, please….go check out the store and buy a shirt. Trust me, they are awesome. Not only are they printed on American Apparel, they are also soft screen. So the ink is water-based…meaning it is soft with the shirt…none of that hard ink, garbage. The fast I sell these the faster I can get some new ones up. That and…I’m about $650 short on my bills for next month…so, I need a boost.

I’ve watched this band grow from the beginning. I’ve seen them in 4 different states and had a good time “hangin out” with them after their set. It’s good to see them finally getting recognition for their talents. I just hope that Epic doesn’t try to change them too much. Kristen has an amazing voice and still looks gorgeous. However, I think this video is a bit cheesey at parts….
